Interwine China 2014 is one of the most important wine fairs in China and the most important held in the southern provinces of Mainland China. First launched in 2005, each session of Interwine China is attended by more than 500 exhibitors from over 20 countries, 20,000 trade visitors from the key cities of Guangzhou, Shanghai, Beijing and 17 cities including 2nd Tier, 3rd Tier and fast-growing consuming markets.

Amores Wines attended this event in partnership with C&D Xiamen Logistics, hosting a big stand (70 m2) in the central area of pavilion B. This event was the perfect occasion to launch the new sparkling wine EXPRESSION, which was one of the star products presented this year. Amores Wines has also seen a lot of interest in its Ribera del Duero Prios Maximus range of wines.

Amores Wines Team established contacts with many distributors and importers in the Southern provinces and soon many southern Chinese consumers will be able to enjoy our Spanish wines. The Guandong province, with a population of over 200 million people and with a deep influence of Hong Kong wine hub, is one of the key markets that Amores Wines is developing.

Amores Wines was delighted to welcome their Russian partner, Rusimport, to their winery Marqués de Vargas in Rioja last Thursday, 1 May.

The visit marked the first of many to the Amores Wines vineyards where the prestigious Russian importer conducted several tastings from the Amores Wines portfolio of wines. During their visit, a delegation from Rusimport had the chance to meet Don Pelayo de la Mata, the actual Marqués de Vargas after whom the winery is named. During the visit, the Marques led the tastings and gave special insight into the origin and creation of these unique wines.

The following day, a special tasting was arranged for the importer in one of Bilbao’s favourite eateries where Rusimport had an opportunity to taste many of the finest DO wines from the Amores Wines catalogue, including selections from Rioja, Ribera del Duero and Rias Baixas as well as some of their superb Cavas from DO Penedes.

Amores Wines was proud to welcome Rusimport to their wineries having signed a €1 million contract earlier this year under which the importer acquired the distribution rights to the Marques de Vargas and Prios collection from the Amores Wines catalogue for the Russian market.
