Giro Ribot is located in the heart of DO Penedés, the home of Cava. Cava represents premium Champagne quality, at half the price. In 1990, Giró Ribot merged with Remy Cointreau group, one of the great Champagne-producing groups. In 2000, Giró Ribot bought back the shares from Remy Cointreau group taking back full control of the winery. This family owned cellar represens generations of traditional wine-making, where modern thinking meets traditional methods.
All grapes are hand-harvested ensuring premium quality. Use of local and international grape varieties to produce a diverse range of superb quality Cavas and wines in both modern and classic styles. Environmentally friendly viticulture – no use of herbicides and minimal pesticides. Use of ambient wild yeast for fermentation – no artificial yeast. Cold fermentation (12-14C) over 30 days ensures that purity of the primary fruit is the maintained.
