Pecunia

Denomination of Origin: Ribera Del Duero

Vineyard: Campos Góticos

Grape Varieties: 100% Tempranillo

Alcohol: 14.5%

Ageing: 12 months in French oak

Tasting Notes: This full-bodied red wine is made entirely from the Tempranillo grape. The deep, inky dark purple colour gives clue to the heady, intense aroma of leather, dried figs and toffee. On the palate, supple tannins frame fresh dark fruit characters, made more complex by touches of soy and balsamic. Despite 12 months in new French oak, the fruit and oak are seamlessly integrated. Still a young wine, with many years to go if properly cellared.

Food Match: Perfect with rich spicy dishes, red meats, pasta and rice.
