Consejo de la Alta winery was founded in 1990 in Cenicero (Rioja) by a wine lovers group, together with local grape growing families. The winery main goal is to produce top-quality wines with the unique Rioja personalilty. Its geographical situation, climate and chalky-clay soils make it one of the world´s great wine-producing locations.
Consejo de la Alta 120 hectares of vineyards are tended following the eco-friendly principles of integrated agriculture and preventive treatments.
The main grape used is Tempranillo, Spain´s supreme grape variety, which finds its most suitable growing conditions in this area, completed with other varieties as Mazuelo, Garnacha and Graciano. Wines to enjoying and sharing.
